SNSW Foundation — Empowering the Destitute

Our work

We support children and youth to reach their full potential

We run shelter homes, schools and a community kitchen that serve young people in real need. Our helpline offices can be approached at any time.

Run directly by us

Four things we operate every day

These are not partnerships or grants. They are places and services we run ourselves, which is where your support lands first.

Shelter homes

Residential care for children and young people who have lost family support or are at risk on the street — a bed, safety, and adults who are accountable for them.

Schools

Free schooling on our own premises for resident children and those from the surrounding neighbourhood, removing fees as a barrier to attendance.

Community kitchen

A daily mess serving meals at a price low-income families can genuinely afford — and at no cost to those who cannot pay at all.

Helpline offices

Offices families can walk into or call at any time. Most people reach us here first, and we route them to shelter, food, schooling or relief.

Programme 01 — Empowering through knowledge

Free education & scholarships

Education is the cornerstone of empowerment. We provide free educational resources and scholarships to bright, underprivileged students, breaking the chains of poverty through the power of learning.

  • Free schooling at our own premises
  • Scholarships for able students who cannot afford fees
  • Books, uniforms and supplies so cost is never the reason a child stops

Programme 02 — Skilling for self-reliance

Technical training

To build a sustainable future, one must have the right skills. Our technical and vocational training programmes equip individuals with the practical expertise needed to thrive in today's economy.

This is the programme that ends dependence. A trained young adult does not just leave our care — they often become the earner who lifts the household that raised them.

Programme 03 — Alleviating hunger

Feeding the poor

No one should worry about their next meal. Our food distribution initiatives and community kitchen ensure that the most vulnerable receive the nourishment they need to sustain themselves and their families.

The kitchen runs daily rather than in campaigns, because hunger does not arrive in campaigns.

Programme 04 — Rapid response, lasting recovery

Disaster relief

In times of crisis, immediate action saves lives. We provide essential aid and support to communities affected by natural disasters, helping them rebuild and recover with dignity.

Pakistan is among the countries most exposed to extreme weather. Relief work here is not exceptional — it is recurring, and it needs standing capacity rather than improvisation.

Fund the work directly

Every contribution goes into shelter, schooling, meals and emergency relief.
